SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
Autorickshaw Duo (Suba Sankaran & Ed Hanley) and Autorickshaw Trio (Suba Sankaran, Ed Hanley & Dylan Bell) offer interactive, educational concerts focusing on the classical music of India and the fusing of Eastern and Western music. We offer a range of performances, workshops and lecture demonstrations for schools and students of all ages.

These workshops can include a quality live performance/workshop directly in your school, a Teacher Resource Guide including pre and post performance activities, a CD for musical performances and followup for your classroom activities, and a Question and Answer session following the show.

The Duo and Trio are currently working at Branksome Hall, Jazz FM91 Jazz4Kids program, and with the St Jamestown Children’s Choir through Rose Avenue Public School.
Previous highlights include being on the roster of Prologue to the Performing Arts, Artstarts, BC tour, St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, India; Alkmaar, Netherlands; Prague, Czech Republic, to name a few.

TDSB Curriculum Guide
A few years ago, Dylan Bell and Suba Sankaran worked with the Toronto District School Board to create a Junior/Intermediate curriculum resource guide, teaching south Indian music to children from grades 4 through 8 (*can be contracted/expanded to relate to younger/older students as well). Suba has been piloting the document in conjunction with a teachers’ workshops.
