This reboot of Autorickshaw features a heavier, layered sonic landscape, with full drumkit, electric guitar, strings, percussion as well as signature tabla and electric bass. Driving and danceable, the new sound includes sensual reinterpretations of Indian folk songs, groove-driven Canadian pop, vintage Bollywood, and hypnotic south Asian traditional selections with a twist.
The CD release party will include live renditions of music from the new album and much more ear candy, by Autorickshaw and a slew of musical titans including Justin Abedin, Dylan Bell, Andrew Craig, Jaron Freeman-Fox, Ed Hanley, 80s a cappella sensation Retrocity, Ben Riley, Suba Sankaran, Gord Sheard, and more!
